Rockport, ON

Well, it's my birthday today. As a Canadian born on the 4th of July, I've always wanted to experience a real American Independence Day celebration. This year will come close.

We're currently dining at the Ship's Galley in Rockport, ON, on the shores of the St. Lawrence and among the Thousand Islands. After dinner we're heading on a boat cruise through the islands and watching fireworks over Boldt Castle on Heart Island, which is part of New York State. Not sure if we're actually entering U.S. territory officially or not. I'll keep you posted.

Dinner, specifically the chicken and rib buffet, was meh.

More photos to come...
