YYZ: Angels @ Blue Jays

Why did they choose the name Rogers Centre after all? Why not Rogers SkyDome? I suppose people just would have kept calling it the SkyDome in that case. (Although many still call it that anyway.) Whenever I meet Ted Rogers, I'll ask him what the line of thinking was there.

After 20 years (seriously... it was 1989) of watching games at SkyDome on TV, tonight is my first time here. It's huge. And it's mostly empty. Maybe 15,000 fans tops. That's less than one-third capacity. That makes for a sub-par atmosphere though, the opposite of a Goldeyes game, where there's half the fans but twice the atmosphere.

Nevertheless, I'm happy to be here and to visit the stadium with scalped tickets and with the roof closed. Even if they won't let us sit in 100 level seats with our 500 level tickets.
